Second thoughts

Life is a progress, and not a station - Ralph Waldo Emerson

This week I've been reconsidering my approach on this blog.  My original plan was to focus on a new project each month starting out with the project of setting up my blog. But as the experience unfolds, I realize it doesn't feel right to focus on a single project or topic a month.

I liked that it gave me structure and focus - sometimes I'm all over the place - but it would also make my blog multiple-personality, with a new personality emerging each month!  One month I'm all about home decor, but the next month I'm all about food, and the next month, photography, etc.

I want to be true to myself and what moves me, and not rigidly attached to "plans" - to write myself a permission slip to change course as I go and learn.  So I've re-engineered the plan.

It still includes tackling projects, but instead of blogging about one project for an entire month, I'll write about it a few times a week and take on a couple of projects at once without a fixed end date. I'll have the focus of some projects with leeway to blog about other things too.

My projects I'll be writing about over the next few months include:
  • Trying new things! (See my new list in the sidebar)
  • Decorating my house (the eternal project)
  • Intuitive eating
  • As well as the ongoing process of learning about this world they call the Blogosphere
