Considering co-sleeping? Don't let the propaganda freak you out. Do your research. Because the link to SIDS is very thin. There is actually a difference between SIDS (unexplained death) and suffocation deaths. Most deaths related to co-sleeping are not SIDS, but suffocation, and they are linked to major risk factors like smoking, obesity, drug and alcohol use, sleeping on a sofa or someone besides the mother (who is less sensitive to the baby's presence) sleeping with the baby.
Co-sleeping CAN be a valid and good option if you learn how to do it safely, but it's important to approach it with knowledge and intention, than just fall into it accidentally out of desperation and make mistakes (like falling asleep on the couch or in a chair).
Keep truckin' mamas! You can do it!
