New Things: Mink Muffs from Essie

It was on my list of things to try - gray nail polish.  I really hope that Essie Mink Muffs counts, because this is what I had in mind.  Some people call it taupe - but I prefer to ignore such over-simplification. It's a smoky-amethyst-chocolate-stormy color and I absolutely love it. It has darkness, but it's not black. It has a hint of color, but mysterious and hard to pin down.  Love it. Not very Christmas-y, but perfect with my wintery hibernation mood.

How the heck can a new color of fingernail polish make me feel like a new girl? Ha!  As my husband would say, I'm highly suggestible.

Btw, Mom and I had the mani-pedi at Embellish.  In my opinion the most fun place to get your nails lacquered up in Austin if you like places that are clean, non-stinky, hygienic, reasonably priced, exquisitely girly and highly pink (which I do).  They also have a little boutique with cute gifts and jewelry.  And they even do things like bridal showers, birthday parties and baby showers.  How fun is that? And I love the little pampering details, like offering you a drink, a hot neck wrap, bowls of MM's, and the chick flicks playing on the wide screens.

Highly recommended.

p.s. Lest you think I'm a mani-addict, I am not. This is a rare treat, thus the enthusiasm.
